FOR TRADES AND SERVICE PROFESSIONALS

A Little Help
Getting Started.

Your business. Local connections. On your terms.

KNOQ connects local households and small businesses with independent professionals, starting in Hillarys and surrounding suburbs. Here’s how to get your business ready for local enquiries.

FIVE SIMPLE STEPS

From Account to Local Enquiries.

You stay in charge of your business, your prices and the work you take.

  1. Create your professional account.

Use the website or KNOQ app. On the website, select “I also want to offer services” and choose what you do. If you already have an account, sign in instead.

  2. Add your business and services.

In the app, open your professional profile. Add your business details and the services you offer. Complete the requested business registration and service credentials, including licences where relevant.

  3. Save, then submit for initial review.

Saving your details and submitting them for review are separate steps. Finish the requested information and send your service application for review.

Steve reviews your initial eligibility for each service. He does not approve each customer’s job. You remain responsible for your credentials, insurance and work.

  4. Choose when you’re available.

Once your service is approved, mark yourself available in the app when you want enquiries. Allow notifications and check your availability, including renewing it when it expires. Your hours and the work you take are your choice.

  5. Work directly with your customer.

Choose the enquiries that suit you. Agree the scope, price and timing with the customer through the app. During the trial, customers pay you directly; you provide your usual invoices and receipts.

THE CURRENT TRIAL

No KNOQ fees. No automatic switch to paid.

KNOQ sign-up, introduction and membership fees are waived during the trial. Nothing is deferred or back-billed. Your customer still pays you for the work you agree.

A FEW QUICK ANSWERS

Good Questions. Clear Answers.

Choose a question to see the answer.

Have I finished setup just by creating an account?

That’s the first step. Add your business and service details in the app, save them and submit the requested information for initial review. Each service needs approval before you can accept work for it. Approval does not switch your availability on.

What does “setup in progress” mean?

Your professional setup has not reached review yet. Your account may exist before any service is saved, or you may have a saved service draft to finish. Sign in to the same account, check your business and service details, then submit when they’re complete.

If you believe you already submitted but still see this status, ask Steve for help.

What happens after I submit my services?

Your application goes to initial review. Check your service status in the app. If more information is requested, provide it there and submit again. Once a service is approved, you can choose to be available for that service. Contact Steve if you’re unsure what is needed.

Do I have to accept every enquiry or stay available all day?

No. Choose when you’re available and which enquiries suit your business. You and the customer agree the scope, price and timing. Simply leaving the app open does not make you available; check your availability in KNOQ.

How long is the trial, and what happens afterwards?

We expect the trial to run for two to three months; there is no fixed end date. We’ll let you know before it ends and explain final prices and terms at least 30 calendar days before any KNOQ fee could apply. Nothing switches to paid automatically—you choose whether to opt in.

See Trial & Costs for the current offer and proposed future pricing.

Will I receive work straight away?

Work isn’t guaranteed. We’re growing the local professional network and introducing KNOQ to households and small businesses. Enquiries depend on local demand, your approved services and availability, and whether the work suits both you and the customer.

Can I finish later without starting again?

Yes. Sign in with your existing email and password to continue. Check that your details have saved before leaving. If something hasn’t saved or the next step is unclear, contact Steve rather than creating a second account.

What if I can’t sign in or save my details?

For a forgotten password, use password recovery in the app, or choose Sign in on the website and then Forgot your password?

If you’re still stuck, tell Steve which step and service you’re working on and what message you see. Don’t send your password or sensitive documents by email or WhatsApp.
