An assessment has its own agreed scope and any fee. It does not authorise repairs.
After the trial
Future KNOQ prices are proposals, not charges starting today. Final prices and terms will be shared at least 30 calendar days before any KNOQ fee could apply. Nothing switches to paid automatically; you choose whether to opt in.
Account signup is open. Public app downloads are awaiting App Store and Google Play approval. Creating an account is free and does not book a service.

A free choice during the trial.
There is no announced end date for the free trial. We will explain any proposed KNOQ fees at least 30 calendar days before they could apply. Nothing switches to paid automatically. During the free trial, the proposed plans carry no KNOQ fees. KNOQ Beat, Groove and Encore below are proposed future options. You do not need to choose a paid plan to create your account. All three plans have the same access during the trial. None gives you priority or changes the jobs you can take. Expressing interest in a proposed plan does not enrol you, and nothing switches to paid automatically.
Expressing interest is not a commitment. Professional service approval is separate from creating an account.

You set the job price with your customer. Any separate payment-processing charge will be explained before you agree to that payment route.

How the proposed commercial model works
Know the fee. Then decide.
The proposed paid fee is for a secured introduction, not a promise of work. You see and agree to the exact KNOQ fee before committing.
Receiving, reviewing or passing on an opportunity does not trigger a fee.
One introduction for the same work.
No second introduction fee when a quote leads to the same work. A quote introduction can still be chargeable if the quote is not chosen.
For the planned quote-comparison option, a customer can request up to three businesses. Each participating business sees its own fee and the comparison terms before committing. Supply is not guaranteed; comparison pricing still needs confirmation.
Your work remains yours.
As an independent professional, you set your work prices and terms. KNOQ does not guarantee payment of your job invoices.
You remain responsible for credentials, insurance and service delivery.
Proposed model only.Paid KNOQ features are not active. Final fees, refunds and other terms will be explained before activation. This explanation does not exclude KNOQ’s own responsibilities or anyone’s rights under applicable law.

RESPONSIBILITIES, INSURANCE & PRIVACY
Who does what.
Account signup is open. Steve reviews professional applications for each service; creating an account is not approval. This website does not offer KNOQ-backed insurance cover for professionals’ work.
Who is responsible for the work?
With KNOQ, you engage an independent professional business to do the work. It sets its prices and remains responsible for its service, workmanship, licences and insurance. Customers agree the scope and price with that business and pay for the agreed work.
In the planned initial trial, you’ll pay the professional directly.
Invoices and receipts are between you and the professional; KNOQ won’t collect the work payment or charge either party KNOQ fees.
KNOQ operates the platform and remains responsible for its own conduct and obligations. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not excluded by this explanation.
Who provides insurance, and what is checked?
Professionals are responsible for their own insurance appropriate to their work, including public liability where relevant. Expressing interest does not provide insurance cover.
Insurance checks are still being prepared. Before bookings open, we need a process for reviewing evidence such as current certificates of currency and keeping checks up to date.
Creating an account or registering interest does not mean a business has been approved. Steve reviews evidence for each service; professionals remain responsible for their credentials and insurance.
A certificate is evidence of a policy, not a guarantee of workmanship or that every claim is covered. Cover depends on the policy’s terms, limits and exclusions.
How will location stay private?
The planned app keeps your job location approximate until you accept the professional’s proposal and confirm the booking. Only then is your exact address shared with that professional. Live-trip sharing operates while travelling and stops at arrival.
